संपूर्ण विश्व में रंगभेद निति के विरोध के प्रतीक नेलशन मंडेला महोदय का संछिप्त जीवन परिचय एवं प्रेरणात्मक विचारों का संग्रह. इन्हें नोबेल शांति पुरस्कार/भारत रत्न/गाँधी शांति इत्यादि पुरस्कारों से नवाजा गया है.
सम्पूर्ण विश्व में रंगभेद निति के विरोध करने के प्रतीक के रूप में जाने जाने वाले नेल्सन मंडेला का जन्म 8 जुलाई 1918 को हुआ था. रंगभेद विरोधी संघर्ष करने के कारण इन्हें 27 वर्ष जेल में काटना पड़ा जहाँ इन्होंने कोयला खनिक का काम किया 10 मई 1994 में इन्होंने दक्षिण अफ्रीका के प्रथम अश्वेत राष्ट्रपति के पद को सुसोभित किया.
67 वर्ष तक इनके रंगभेद विरोधी संघर्ष के सम्मान में नवम्बर 2009 में UNO ने 18 जुलाई को मंडेला दिवस घोषित किया इस उपलक्ष में इन्होंने लोगो से अपने 24 घंटे में से 67 मिनट दूसरों की मदद करने का आग्रह किया. 250 से भी अधिक सम्मान पाने वाले नेल्सन मंडेला को विश्व के विभिन्न राष्ट्रों एवं संस्थाओ ने सम्मानित किया. जिसमे नोबेल शांति पुरस्कार/भारत रत्न/गाँधी शांति पुरस्कार भी शामिल हैं. 5 दिसम्बर 2013 को इनका अवसान हो गया. आज भी इनके विचार जीवंत हैं.
